Data Protection Declaration

The protection of your personal data during the collection, processing and use when visiting our homepage is an important concern for us. We will explain what happens with your data as follows:

1. Collection and processing of data

You can visit our Internet presence without providing any details about yourself. We only store access data without personal reference, such as the name of your Internet service provider, the page from which you are visiting us, or the name of the requested file. These data are evaluated solely for the purpose of improving our offers and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person, they are anonymised.

We will collect, process and use the personal data you have provided online only for the purposes requested by yourself; unless the collection, processing and use is carried out on the basis of a legal obligation or an administrative/judicial order, in order to justify or protect legal claims or to defend against illegal activities or for a purpose which is directly related to the original purpose to which the personal data were collected.

We will neither sell or market your personal data to third parties nor pass them on for any other reason. "Third parties" in this sense are not the companies of the Silbitz Group. Furthermore, we may pass on personal data to other companies of the Silbitz Group's international network if this is necessary to achieve the purpose for which you have made the data available to us (e.g., for responding to, or the processing of inquiries or orders, applications, etc.).

Personal data which you voluntarily transfer to us within the framework of the use of free offers may consecutively be used for own advertising purposes.

 

2. Your contact information sent to us via the contact form

a. via the contact form

To the extent you use the contact form made available on our internet presence and provide us with personal data, this data will be stored and processed by us internally to process your inquiry. We also do not perform any comparison of the collected data with data, which is possibly collected by other components of our internet presence. Your data will not be passed on to third parties.

b. as an application


By submitting your application documents, you expressly agree that we may collect, process and use the data submitted by you to us for the purposes of application processing pursuant to § 32 of the German Data Protection Act (BDSG). If your application involves the conclusion of an employment contract, we may store the data you submitted to us in your personal file for the purpose of the standard organisational and administrative processes, in compliance with the relevant legal regulations.

We will perform the deletion of the data which you have submitted to us in electronic form if your job application is rejected and after notification of the rejection. This does not apply if a longer-term storage is necessary due to legal requirements (for example, the burden of proof, pursuant to the General Equality Treatment Act - AGG) or if you have expressly consented to a longer period of retention in our pool of potential candidates.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that applications, in particular CVs, testimonials and other data sent by yourself to us, may contain particularly sensitive information regarding mental and physical health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical convictions, membership in a trade union or political party.

You are entitled to revoke your consent to the storage and use of personal data and files which you submitted in the framework of the application at any time, with effect for the future. For this purpose, just send an e-mail to bewerbung[at]silbitz-group.com.

 

3. Claims for information and retraction

Pursuant to § 34 of the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (German Data Protection Act), you are entitled to obtain information, free of charge, on your personal data stored by us. Additionally, you are entitled to amend incorrect data, blockage for commercial use or deletion of such data, statutory storage obligations or other legal provisions opposing the application. The consent to the processing of the data you submitted to us can be revoked at any time with effect for the future, in writing, without any specific format, via an e-mail to datenschutz[at]silbitz-goup.de.

4. Cookies

Our internet presence deploys so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your computer system. Most browsers accept cookies by default. They aim to make our internet presence more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies also allow us to assess the frequency of page calls and general browsing behaviour. Most of the cookies on your computer system are automatically deleted from your hard disk after your visit. Other cookies remain on your computer system and allow us to recognise your computer system on your next visit. Without your explicit consent, we will not link the data stored in our cookies with your personal data (name, address, etc.).

5. Deployment of analytic services - Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (Hereinafter referred to as 'Google'). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable the analysis of your use of the website. The information on your use of this website (including your IP address) generated by the cookie, is transferred to and stored in a Google server in the USA.

We use the function "Activation of IP anonymisation" on this website. This procedure involves the prior abbreviation of your IP-address by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other states which are parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP-address be transferred to a Google-server in the US and be abbreviated there. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website, compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to the use of the website and the internet for the website operator´s use. The IP address provided by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent cookies from being stored by configuring your browser software accordingly. In this case, however, we would like to point out that you may no longer be able to fully take advantage of all the functions of this website.

Additionally, you can prevent Google from collecting and processing the data generated by the cookie and which is related to your use of the website (including your IP address), as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. 6. schubwerk Analytics
We use the analysis tool "schubwerk Analytics" in order to design our website to meet your needs. This tool processes communication data when the website is accessed (e.g. information about the device used, IP address) and stores it on the "schubwerk Analytics" servers located in Germany. The IP address is irrevocably anonymized at the moment the page is accessed. "schubwerk Analytics" does not set any cookies. No information is read from the end device you are using. "schubwerk Analytics" only uses data that is automatically sent by you for technical reasons when you access the website.
It is not possible to draw conclusions about your identity.
We use the analysis service on the basis of our legitimate interest in recording the flow of visitors to our website and providing our service in a form that enables a user-friendly perception of the online offer, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

7. Use of Social Plugins - XING

Our website uses the functions of the XING network. The provider is XING AG, Dammtorstraße 29-32, 20354 Hamburg, Germany ("XING"). Each time you visit our website, featuring the Xing functions, your browser will temporarily connect to the XING servers, which specifically provide the "XING Share Button" functions (in particular, the assessment/display of the counter value). To the best of our knowledge, XING does not store any of your personal data on the occasion of your visit to our website. Specifically, XING does not store any IP addresses. Additionally, no assessment of your usage behaviour is performed via the use of cookies in connection with the "XING Share-Button". 8. Links (hyperlinks) to third-party Websites

We have no influence over the contents of links to external websites of third parties on our website. Therefore, we cannot assume any liability for these third-party contents. The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for the contents of these pages. At the time of implementation of the links, the linked pages were checked for possible legal violations. No illegal contents were detectable at the time of linking. However, a permanent control of the content of the linked pages is not deemed reasonable without any concrete indications of an infringement. Should we become aware of any legal infringements, we will immediately remove such links.
