The Silbitz Group does not see itself as part of an "old economy", but as an important player in the European energy transition. That is why we have set ourselves a clear agenda on the path to climate neutrality. Silbitz is one of the few iron and steel foundries with sites in Europe that can shape products weighing up to 120 tons. Many of these are key elements of the energy transition, such as axle housings for trains or hubs for wind turbines. This makes us a system-relevant, but at the same time energy-intensive company.
